b08f2ee3-e7a9-4dec-b596-338bee9a92f3BCA Peterborough’s February Motorbike Auction offered a massive entry of 140 bikes which attracted buyers from all over the country, including dealers seeking stock for the spring season. On the day, 136 motorbikes were sold generating a turnover of nearly £500,000.

The sale offered a fabulous mix of ‘bikes, from cheap and cheerful mopeds to full-on sports bikes, with a good selection in ‘ready to retail’ condition.

Over 150 buyers attended on the day, with a further 160 participating via BCA Live Online. Competition was fierce throughout the sale, with trade and private buyers competing and even overseas interest.  One franchise dealer group alone brought 49 bikes on the day.

Overall the sale sold 136 motorbikes for a 97.1% conversion and a turnover of nearly £500,000, averaging 103.59% of CAP across the board.  Special entries by Black Horse Motor Finance and BMW Finance attracted a lot of attention from buyers, and a selection of stock from franchised dealers also sold strongly.

Among the interesting selection of bikes on offer, there was significant interest in the 13-plate BMW R1200 GS TE which sold for £11,000 (+VAT) equivalent to 104.2% of CAP Clean, while the 2012 Harley-Davidson Night Rod also sold strongly at £10,800 – a significant 118.0% of CAP.
